The School of Transport of Guangxi Transport Vocational and Technical College (GTVTC) was founded in 1958, with the highway major being the origin of the school. The school, established alongside GTVTC, has been the birthplace of transportation talent since the establishment of the region. Over nearly 70 years, it has developed into a high-level teaching and research team with road transport management as its strength and characteristic, covering various transportation sectors such as logistics, postal services, port shipping, and urban rail transit. It has also established a high-quality technical skills training system for the transportation field.

The school adheres to the concept of providing comprehensive services to the transportation industry, forming a talent cultivation matrix that covers all areas including road, rail, water, and postal services. The school offers seven distinctive majors: Road Transport Management, Modern Logistics Management, Port and Shipping Management, Postal and Express Delivery Operation Management, Urban Rail Transit Operation Management, Urban Rail Transit Communication Signal Technology, and Urban Rail Transit Electromechanical Technology. Among them, the Road Transport Management major cluster has been honored as a high-level professional cluster at the autonomous region level. Currently, the school has nearly 2,500 full-time students, making it the only institution in Guangxi dedicated to comprehensive education in the entire field of transportation, recognized as a Class-A demonstration department for the 'Three Comprehensive Education' comprehensive reform.

In the process of fulfilling its fundamental mission of 'moral education and talent cultivation,' the school has established a distinctive cultural brand and achieved remarkable results. The school has won national teaching achievement awards, national outstanding logistics vocational education teachers, first prizes in national vocational skills competitions, and the title of National May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Branch, among other national honors and awards. It boasts world-class training bases for the World Skills Competition, the Belt and Road and BRICS Nations Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition, a smart logistics center, and a rail transit operation training center, all of which are top-tier within the region and among the best nationwide. Additionally, it houses the 'Ministry of Transport Vocational Skills Appraisal Station,' the 'National Postal Administration Postal Industry Safety Center Safety Training Base (Nanning Base),' an organization for setting occupational standards for ASEAN countries, and the 'China-ASEAN Postal Express Vocational Education Group,' all of which are national and provincial-level development platforms.
